You start to worry that you’ll always be dating and never settle down with someone. Being single at 30 isn’t anything to fear or worry about, instead it’s something to embrace.

Here are 30 other pieces of advice for single 30-somethings.

  1. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Appreciate where you are and know that you’re on the right track.
  2. There’s no timetable for how your life should or shouldn’t be before you turn 30. Comparison is your worst enemy. Every timeline looks different, you’re doing just fine.
  3. If you’re not already saving money – start now. While you’re still young, it’s important that you establish a savings account for the years to come.
  4. Love yourself more. 
  5. Always seek to make new friends.
  6. Sign up for a new workout class, painting class, or any class that interests you every few months.
  7. Explore new hobbies.
  8. Don’t settle for people who don’t value you.
  9. You’re always doing the best you can, and that’s all you can do.
  10. Don’t participate in gossip.
  11. Find people who make you feel love and peace; keep them close.
  12. It’s never too late to start over.
  13. Appreciate the little things as often as you can.
  14. Have more faith and confidence in yourself. 
  15. Exercise or move your body at least once a day.
  16. Fuel your body with healthy food.
  17. Focus on what’s in front of you instead of what’s behind you.
  18. Don’t take anything personally. Most of what people say to you is a projection of themselves and has little or nothing to do with you. 
  19. Take social media breaks. Too much social media can have a negative impact on your emotional and mental health. 
  20. Get outside at least once a day. Vitamin D is important. Wear your sunscreen.
  21. Travel as often as you can to places you’ve never been before. Adventure and explore the world around you.
  22. Take yourself on dates. You don’t need a partner to enjoy a glass of wine at your favorite restaurant. Stop thinking you have to.
  23. Moisturize your skin. If you’re wanting to prevent wrinkles, you’ll want to make sure you take good care of your skin every night and every morning.
  24. Laugh often. Don’t take life so seriously all the time. Find things that make you laugh. Learn to laugh at yourself.
  25. Always work on self-growth. Read books. Listen to informational podcasts.
  26. Meditate. Mindfulness is incredibly important to your overall well being – meditation helps you to cultivate it. Try and meditate for at least 10 minutes a day.
  27. Take a break from dating. If you’ve been off and on dating, and it’s not going anywhere – give yourself a break. Focus on yourself.
  28. The right person will come along eventually. Enjoy your independence and freedom.
  29. Call your mom or dad once a week.
  30. Don’t burn bridges.
