Hair Loss Is Not the End of the World

You wake up one morning and look at yourself in the mirror and are shocked to see more of your forehead than before. Or maybe you discover old photographs of yours where you had a full head of healthy hair and wonder what happened…

Well, hair loss is really not the end of the world though it may seem like it at first glance.

Age-agnostic

Hair loss is age and gender agnostic. It is a fact that hair loss can happen virtually to anybody due to factors such as:

  • Heredity causes.
  • Condition of the water that you use to bathe in.
  • Diet.
  • Lifestyle.
  • Medication.
  • Medical conditions or illnesses too.

It is of course important to investigate the cause of hair loss and eliminate the more serious ones such as an illness of some kind. But in most cases, there are a lot of things you can do to correct the situation you are facing.

Get a professional consultation

It is important to get a professional consultation from a clinic or a doctor specializing in hair care. This is especially important if you think the hair loss is severe. It is normal for a human being to lose around 30-40 strands of hair every day. But if you think it is way more than this for you, then start with a visit to a clinic.

Make changes to your diet

In most cases it is wrong diet that is causing hair loss. Take this simple fact – your hair is made of protein and even a single strand can divulge many details of your diet. When you get enough protein in your diet, it allows the hair to be in the growing phase for a longer time rather than fall into the resting phase where there is hair loss. So, ensure your diet is balanced and nutritious and brings together:

  • Essential minerals.
  • Water.
  • Healthy fats and carbs.
  • Vitamins and
  • Protein – perhaps the most important ‘ingredient’ of them all.

Treatments

There are many treatments that are pretty effective in hair loss. Some of them include topical creams and some of them may involve hair weaving. Before you embark on any course of treatment, do be sure to gather as much information as you can about the method and what your expectations should be. Oral medications, special shampoos and prescription or OTC pills and potions – all of them have specific methodology of use and you should be careful to read the label before you start on usage.

If you do not like treatments then you can try hair building fibers. This is quite popular nowadays. After using it, it will seem as if you have a full head of hair. No need for weaving, painful transplants etc.

Choosing your products

One of the biggest culprits in hair loss could be the products you use to style and set your hair. It is all very well to look at the stunning looking models with lustrous locks pitching the latest gel or mousse. But please be aware that all products have chemicals and other ingredients that can intensify hair loss. Even over use of hair dryers can cause hair to become fragile and fall more than necessary.

There is no doubt that hair loss happens to everybody but with a bit of care, it need not be the end of the world.
