The Value of Safety {Infographic}

Safety is a very important issue, no matter what business size and type. According to surveys, 4,628 workers were killed on the jobsite in 2012 – a tragedy that translates to about $170 billion OSHA fines for businesses.

This new infographic by The Asbestos Institute mainly shows us the financial effects of violating OSHA policy. It also shows that falls are generally the leading cause of injury, with penalties reaching $20 million; businesses with 1-19 individuals seeing the majority of the citations; specialty trade contractors are the most penalized; and other notable statistics. It delivers a clear message – to put safety in top priority!
