The Seven Wonders Of Friendship

"The Seven Wonders Of Friendship"

The world is a magnificent space for many for its extraordinary experiences . Amongst all of them, Friendship is, most likely, the one that lets the mind discover the deepest emotional landscapes of all. These landscapes constitute the aspects of Friendship that magnify its presence and share its virtues.

While the feelings of these aspects are the most important, each has been wrapped as a legendary wonder to remind each of us that Friendship isn’t only a relationship but a true and intricate mix of the greatest states of being given to Humankind.

1). Mount Responsibility

Friendship is before anything a responsibility. One that must be considered with great humility and gratitude. While the enjoyment of the moment is precious, it remains a climbing adventure where the greater the friendship, the more responsibility is involved to ensure the foundation and harmonious growth of the relationship. “Friendship is always a sweet responsibility, never an opportunity.” ~Kahlil Gibran

2). The Great Pyramid of Respect

Respect is the basic fundamental of Friendship. It is the recognition of the preciosity of the self which ultimately is carried in the recognition in the worth of another. Without it no relationship can ever grow or blossom. Respect requires an attachment to the most selfless part of us and the detachment from perfection. Respect implies a purity of intention expressed in the moment. It also relates to the unalienable right for someone to express his or her own truth and the unalienable principle of honoring another. Even after all this time, The sun never says to the earth, “You owe me.” Look what happens with A love like that. It lights the whole sky.~Hafiz of Persia

3). The Great Wall of Trust

Trust values the Truth of a being as sacred. This is why this is the first and foremost essential of friends and lovers. Where there is no trust, there is no Love. Trust embraces the goodness within and give strength to the true nature of the Life that inhabits each and every one of us. Trusting another is the ultimate bond that builds, strengthens and ensures the longevity of a friendship. “I believe that friends are quiet angels who sit on our shoulders and lift our wings when we forget how to fly.” —Unknown

4). The Golden Heart

The heart is the home of the Soul and true Friendships are born from there. It is the space where the spark that brings two people together is ignited and it is the space that must be nurtured if two wish to remain connected. Although the mind is a good ally to build a relationship, alone, it is an empty space without the soil and the fertilizer to make it grow. The heart is the holy ground of Friendship. What is uttered from the heart alone, will win the heart of others to your own. ~ Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

5). The Old City of Love

Love is the most fertile soil and the only true path to Friendship. Although it may sometimes be felt as a fortress that cannot be taken, once the heart opens to it, there is no way to tell how deep the roots of the city are anchored. In the eternal city lies all the necessary sustenance for the Soul, mind and body to connect as one and reach out to connect with another. Called the City of Light, it is illuminates the glow of those who have found friendship and Love as a space they call home. Love, true love, is that which can give the most without asking or demanding anything in return. ~Mazie Hammond

6). The Grand Canyon of Forgiveness

One of the pillars that is regarded as a treasured virtue of friendship is Forgiveness. Forgiveness is the ultimate expression of compassion. It is the evidence of acceptance and understanding as well as the embodiment of non-judgment and unity. A friendship that experiences forgiveness is a friendship founded upon the principles of the golden rule and one which regards the human being as a vulnerable creature that isn’t meant to thrive for perfection but excellence. It takes a strong person to say sorry, and an ever stronger person to forgive. ~Unknown

7). The Great Temple of Authenticity

At last, the most essential element in the discovery of the Sacred Kingdom of Friendship is the exploration of authenticity. Authenticity is the primary space where two must meet and go back to when entering in the sacred Kingdom of Friendship. Of course, Life brings its trials, illusions and tests but each time those, who have cultivated and maintained this space bright and accessible, will be able to find a way back to themselves and therefore to another. From this space, communication, verbal or not is carefully listened and meaningfully spoken. Trust and Respect naturally blossom within that space because they are nourished with openness, genuineness, presence and integrity. When you can lovingly be present to yourself, your presence to others takes on a deeper quality also. ~MacRina Wiederkher

    Hello dear Amit and Aline,

This is such a beautiful blog post with gorgeous photos and deep Soulful wisdom.  I resonate most with “Where there is no trust, there is no LOVE”, and that true friendships are born from the heart, which is the seat of the Soul.  As I walk my own sacred path of consciousness, I am learning that for me to be the best friend that I can be, I must be mindful of who I choose to be friends with.  Since my heart’s desire is to live as my highest and best self, I must choose friends who can support me with love and appreciation.  And in so doing, I am able to do the same for them in return.  I am learning to “let go” of my attachment to suffering, and as a result, people who help to create any drama or hurtful behavior.  This can be super challenging at times, but I am commited to serve God in all things, and I put my trust in the one I serve, to lead me to the friendships in that in my highest and greatest good.  I consider you both, beautiful friends and treasures sent to me from Divine love and the Soul.

Infinite love and gratitude for all you do!
