5 Security Tweaks For Your Social Networking

"Facebook Tweaks"

Many of us spend several hours to fix or to customize our security on many social networking sites this takes a lot of time to do all this. Most popular social networking sites are like Facebook & Twitter. We all love to share with friends or family but sometimes we not want our profile to share all our information with strangers. This may   lead to security risk.

So here are 5 tips to make your social networking more secure & safer :

1). One App To Rule All Network

Facebook, Twitter, Google Buzz and Foursquare all networks available within one app. Tweetdeck helps save time, integrates multiple timelines into one and makes replying less of a pain.

2). Who Sees What On Your Facebook

Facebook’s privacy settings by default, aren’t very secure and some tweaks will make your profile a lot more secure.

Click on the Account tab on your facebook home page.

Go to Privacy Settings > Sharing on Facebook settings > Customize settings.

Now you can change your profile (relationship status, posts, photos etc.)  Select visibility from four options – everyone, friends, friends of friends and customize.

3).  Secure Your Facebook

To make it more secure facebook launches some new settings on facebook settings. This is most important tweaks to make your account secure. In account settings you get two critical settings, and that should be enable.

First is “Secure Browsing (https)” and second is “send me an email when an unrecognised device tries to access my account.”

This will found in Account > Account Settings > Account tab > Account Security.

4). Get Rid Of Unused Apps

Any apps you may have downloaded but aren’t using anymore, do pose a rise to your data. Delete them.

Click on the Account tab on your facebook home page, go to Privacy Settings > Apps.  Select the app and delete them which you find you not using anymore.

5). Reply Friends By Mail

Whenever a facebook friend sends you a message, or comments on your photos it also shows up in your email inbox provided notifications are on. You can reply to that from the email itself and the comment will be added to your tagged photo. If you aren’t getting these mails, activate email notifications in the account settings.
